Hours: 35 hours per week/ 70 hours over two weeks (nine-day fortnight)

The role

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity to join our Finance and Treasury team as Treasury Manger here at Housing 21.

The role will Lead the treasury team to deliver a robust treasury strategy and manage all the treasury risks, build and maintain relationships with external and internal stakeholders while supporting Housing 21’s growth ambitions, delivering a proactive, responsive and value for money treasury service for the business.

The Treasury Manager is responsible for the management and continued development of one direct line report, the Treasury Operations Manager, and is a member of the wider finance Senior Management Team who help develop departmental objectives / strategy and implement positive improvements.

While this role is home based you will need to travel into the Head Office in Birmingham as and when required so you will need to live within a commutable distance.

What we’re looking for

The essential requirements for the role include:

Knowledge and experience of

  • Strong understanding of accounting and treasury management principles, legislation, and standards
  • Understanding and experience of treasury accounting including, liquidity, cash flow and various financial instruments
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, financial instruments, and debt instruments
  • Knowledge of banking relationships and covenants
  • Cash flow forecasting and budgeting, including fixed/ float, covenant & debt maturity planning
  • Broad experience of treasury management, including managing relationships with lenders and debt capital markets
  • Proven and extensive track record of working with and influencing Senior Managers, Directors and external stakeholders such as banks and investors
  • Understanding of a high performing treasury function and utilising electronic banking systems
  • Hedge accounting experience
  • AMCT or similar treasury qualification
