The role

We are currently looking to recruit a Safeguarding Officer for our services in Retirement Living.

Within the role you will help support an efficient safeguarding service within the organisation by supporting the development and maintenance of a robust safeguarding framework, including ensuring policies and training are in place, advising and supporting managers on safeguarding and domestic abuse cases. 

The jobholder will make sure that they fully understand and fulfil their responsibilities in respect of both Health & Safety, Equality & Diversity and Data Protection at all times.

What we’re looking for

The essential requirements for the role include:

  • Practical experience of advising on safeguarding and/or domestic abuse cases involving older people
  • Well organised with an ability to prioritise and manage conflicting demands
  • Clear and professional report writing
  • Significant experience of using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Understanding of the Housing Regulation Act in relation to domestic abuse and safer communities
