The vacancy

Hours: Full time - 35 hours per week/ 70 hours over two weeks (nine-day fortnight)

Looking for a role that puts residents at the heart of every decision and inspires people to deliver excellent services? As Head of Contractors and Partnerships, you’ll ensure our services are the best they can be for our residents.

We’re seeking an exceptional leader of PFI contracts across our Retirement Living and Extra Care services, to drive our strategic commitments, ensuring we provide quality homes, care and support services our residents are proud of.

You’ll take the lead on the operational and commercial leadership, ensuring contractual, regulatory and governance compliance, focussing on value for money and high performance.

A passion for data is a must, you will provide insight to the Exec team, Board and Committees to make informed decisions. Leading on risk management, you will effectively identify, report and mitigate risk, providing assurance and keeping us compliant.

You will build and maintain strong relationships, collaborating across the organisation and with partner agencies to ensure compliance with funding, credit and service agreements.

As the leader of our teams, you will be responsible for fostering a customer-focused and high-performing culture. You will be committed to continuous improvement, always looking for opportunities to enhance services for our residents and ensure we are future fit.

This is a home-based role, however frequent travel will be required across our geography to ensure visibility across dispersed teams, services and residents.

What we are looking for:

The essential requirements for the role include:

Extensive senior‑level PFI contract and portfolio management experience
Experience of leading complex, multi‑site service operations
Proven ability to manage risk, governance and assurance at Board level
Strong understanding of PFI/PPP contractual frameworks, funding structures and lifecycle mechanisms
Extensive knowledge of social housing, regulation and public‑sector partnership working
Track record of leading change, improvement and service transformation
Holds an Ofqual Level 5 Senior Housing & Property Management Apprenticeship / CIH Level 5 or equivalent or is willing to work towards this qualification if not already held
